Lost Identity

I woke and started praying this morning around 5:00 a.m. As I prayed, I heard in my spirit, “In the fall, we lost our identity of who we are.” There was a pause and I heard the words, “It takes a renewed mind to get it back.” Then there was a longer pause and the final words, “Determination is the key.” Powerful words! I am curious, what are your thoughts on this?

Gotcha Ya! NO, You Don’t!

Have you ever been going along and suddenly something comes at you from out of the blue? This something seems to knock the wind out of you, but just for a moment as you gain your equilibrium. I had that happen today. I had to resist the urge to delve into the situation deeper, which would have only brought more pain.

Instead, I took a deep breath and said, “Oh no you don’t!” addressing that statement to the enemy who would love to steal my peace and joy. Throughout the years and numerous experiences similar to today’s, I have learned to “resist the enemy, and he will flee from you.” It seems the enemy attacks when you are tired, stressed or already down, this is one of his famous tricks, and if you are not careful in guarding your mind and heart, it will work!

The Bible states, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things” (Phil 4:8, NIV).

Get Back, Satan! You’re in my Way!

I heard a story about a well-known Pastor, who had gone to bed one night. In the middle of the night, Satan appeared at the foot of his bed and pulled his bed away from the wall; thereby, waking the Pastor. The man looked up and saw Satan standing there and said, “Oh it’s you. Get out of here but before you do, push my bed back.” Satan did as he was told and the man went back to sleep.

What would you have done? Would you have enough confidence in the Lord and His name, that you too would have rolled over after telling Satan to get out? If you hesitated to answer an emphatic “yes,” then let me show you how to gain that strong confidence.

Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior, just by asking him to come into your life and be Lord of your life; asking Him to forgive you for your sins, washing you in His precious blood to be white as snow.
Study the Bible – Hey that’s the ‘playbook’! It contains all the rules of spiritual warfare and let me tell you – you need to know it! SATAN CHEATS! And if you don’t call him on it, he will get away with it!

 

Celebrate the People God puts in Your Life

I am sitting here at my kitchen table, my mind going over the people I’ve had the pleasure to know and have now gone home to be with Lord. Wow…I have been so, so blessed. I smile with each one as the individual faces pass before my mind’s eye; I recall funny incidences that we shared together. I remember the laughter and the tears. Each person has enriched my life in so many different ways. I am a better person because of them. I can see how the Lord used each one to pour into my life and help me grow and mature.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of family and friends, who have and do love me and I, them. I choose never to take them or you for granted; but, to cherish each one and to love with all my heart. In Jesus most precious name, I pray.

KISS (Keep it Simple Saint)

I am sitting here at my kitchen table and contemplating how complicated we make our walk with the Lord. Lately, I hear “You can’t do this, or you can’t do that,” in fact, what I am hearing are a lot of rules. But then, I hear the flip-side as well, people have thrown the Bible out the window, saying it does not apply to ‘today’s society.’

Well, I have to tell you both sides of this perspective is ‘off-course.’ The Bible does have rules for sure, but if we follow these two rules, then our hearts and actions will line up with God’s will. We are to “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’” (NIV, Luke 10:27). If we follow these two rules, God will always be our priority and we would never want to hurt our neighbor. I heard a friend of mine say, “Love can never birth a pain.” She is right, if we love our neighbor, we would never cause them pain, in fact, we would do all we could to protect that individual.

KISS, keep it simple my friend, love the Lord and your neighbor and follow the Bible – simple…

The Lord of All Creation

Gift or Witchcraft?

Pursue love, desire (ardently seek) spiritual gifts. Here is a key! Love has a supernatural power one of which is a key to the spiritual gifts! The Word says we can have the gifts but without love we are resounding gongs.

As I was in prayer this morning the Lord showed me if we operate in the gifts while we are ‘offended or tired or without love’ we are using the gifts like witchcraft. The motivation can be without our realizing it used to control another individual.

Therefore, check yourself, are you tired, dealing with hurt feelings or ticked off at someone? If so, it is time for your prayer closet and using the gift of tongues. The tongues is what edifies YOU, that means it will bring refreshing to your spirit and it will align your prayers with the WILL OF GOD. Where is the safest place you ever want to be? IN THE WILL OF GOD

Prophet speak up!

In a dream last, the Lord delivered a prophetic message.

The Lord showed me the people we are reaching out to do not see the things we see. Many of them do not see nor do they understand the things of God. Their spiritual eyes are blinded to the beauty of what the Lord is all about.  We, christians need to back up and gently teach the love and the beauty of the Lord to them.  We need to make the message of Jesus’ salvation palatable to them; so they can eat it and digest it and become strong in the Lord. Some of us teachers are in a hurry to get on down the path instead of taking time with the student and making sure they are getting the revelation.  The student needs to be able to focus and see clearly with understanding.  The key word is “understanding’.

The christian path is narrow but it is about to get narrower.  There will be times christian when you will not think you are going to make it or fit in, but miraculously you will make it and you will fit! It will be through faith that miracles will happen around you.

He spoke about those who work in the prophetic.  I have to smile as he showed me that we need to blow our nose!  In other words, blow the trumpet!  Sound off! Let the prophetic ring! Prophet speak up! Even though things look dirty in the spirit there is a line of christians waiting to return and others wanting  to come to the Lord.

I hear a trumpet sounding, one of financial chaos and restructure. Christian do not be afraid! The Lord has already sent the angels to help those who will get out of the driver’s seat and allow the Lord to drive. They are on assignment to ensure we get to where we need to be and have the provision, in order fulfill the Lord’s plan.  Some of us will have difficulty do that, but in the end we will see it is imperative as time has sped up and we must be in God’s timing. The angels are aware of this fact and will help to position the believer with other believers who are on board.

What does this all look like to us? It may look like the church is underground but be encouraged christian it is a HUGE city! In prayer with my prayer partner, the Lord showed us that the timing issue had another dimension.  This huge city included those who have gone before us as well. In other words, the forerunners who have labored in the harvest fields such as Abraham, Isaac, etc., are connected with us in the overall plan of salvation.  Our work for the Lord is outside of time! It involves all those from Genesis to Revelations! We labor to complete the plan of salvation for the whole world! We have a great cloud of witnesses! They can not come into perfection without us!(Hebrews chapter 11 & 12)

Come on Christian! We have work to do!!!!

DREAM:

I am driving a car, my daughter is in the passenger seat. We are driving on a narrow path with a split rail fence on both sides of the path. I look to the left and see a Milk thistle aka Holy thistle or Blessed thistle. I ask my daughter if she saw it, she said, “no”. I back the car up and stopped for her to get a good look at it. After she sees it, I drive forward and note the path is getting more narrow and there is a gate ahead with poles blocking most of the opening. I close my eyes and drive forward, miraculously we fit through the poles.

Next Scene: I am in a bathroom looking for tissue to blow my nose. The bathroom is clean except for the toilet, it has been profusely used. I use the toilet and as I do, someone opens the door and apologizes and quickly closes the door. The person waits his/her turn.

Next Scene: I am in the backseat of a car being driven by two people I consider mentors. The driver (in the natural) had brain damage later in life. I am concerned because he is driving.  He is driving very quickly. We drive underground into a subway. It is bustling with people.  A woman dressed in pink walks in front of us, I am afraid my driver would hit her with the car. But he did not. I lean forward and look at him, he is in his right mind and sharp as a tack!  And very business like.  I could tell he was in a hurry and was concerned about the time.
